Alan Wesley McCurry

Alan Wesley McCurry, a longtime Laurel resident, passed away at Western Maryland Medical Center in Cumberland.  He was born June 2, 1950 to Jocelyne Quilichini and the late George McCurry.  He was a graduate of Berkeley University in June 1973 and received a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science.  Alan retired in 1999 from the States Department as a Communications Analyst.   He was an active member of Our Savior Lutheran Church where he sang in the choir.  He also loved to read and enjoyed walking.

In addition to his father, Alan was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 32 years Lizabeth Mosser McCurry and brother George McCurry, III.“Leif”.  He is survived by his loving son Jacob Raymond McCurry; sister Shirley McCurry; brothers Holbrook Edward, Malcolm, and Matthew McCurry ; step-mother Ann McCurry and many relatives and friends.

A memorial visitation will be held on Thursday, May 26, 2016 from 10-11 am at Our Savior Lutheran Church,   13611 Laurel Bowie Road, Laurel, MD  20708, where a memorial service will begin at 11am.  Following the service, we will all meet at the cemetery for the inurnment.
