Anna Woodward Poole

Anna Woodward Poole, a longtime resident of Burtonsville, passed away on August 13, 2017 at her home.  She was 88.  She was born on February 22, 1929 at her home in Colesville, MD to the late Melvin and Florence Woodward.  She attended Colesville Elementary and graduated from Sherwood High School.  She was an active member of Spencerville Free Methodist Church.  She was a member of the Homemakers and WCTU.  Anna enjoyed reading, crocheting, and canning foods. 

She is survived by her beloved husband of 69 years, Kenneth L. Poole; loving daughter Peggy Ann Poole and daughter-in-law Debby Poole; siblings Jean Weinel and Donald Woodward and his wife Susan; grandchildren Christopher Poole, Jennifer Poole, and Nicole Brigner and her husband Bryan; and great-grandchildren Hayley, Landon, and Hannah.  She was preceded in death by her son, the late, Kenneth Poole, Jr. “Chip”.
