Beverley Ann Owen Bussink, 84, of Laurel, Maryland passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 22, 2017 at Gilchrist Hospice Center surrounded by her children.  She was born in Windsor, Ontario, Canada on May 23, 1933.  Her family moved to Detroit, Michigan when she was a young child and later to Silver Spring, Maryland where she graduated from Blair High School in 1952. Beverley and Pete married in 1957 and had 3 daughters and 1 son.  They settled in West Laurel in 1967 where their neighbors became their great life-long friends.

Beverley loved spending time with her family, going to the beach, taking trips with her friends, gardening, reading, cross stitching and a nice glass of wine at the end of the day.  She was very involved in her grandchildren's lives and for that they will be forever grateful.  She taught CCD and led the youth guitar group for several years at St.Mary's parish in Laurel and later she became a parishioner at Resurrection Church in Burtonsville.

Beverley is survived by daughter Linda Bussink, son Don Bussink, Jr. (Ginny), daughter Dolores Moon (Ken), daughter Cathy Dumhart (George) and grandchildren Steven Moon, Heather Schroen (Joe), Brian Moon, Ryan Bussink (Kelly) and Cord Dumhart, brother and sister-in-law Ted and Anne Owen, sisters-in-law Mary Ellen Auth and Marilyn Bussink, brother-in-law Ronnie Pease and numerous nieces and nephews.

She is predeceased by her husband Donald (Pete) Bussink, Sr., grandson David Cain, parents Edward  and Marie Owen, brother George Owen, brothers-in-law Robert Bussink, Gregory Bussink, Bernard Bussink and Anton Auth, and sisters-in-law Margaret Ann Pease, Marie Bussink and Bertha Bussink.

While extremely sad, we are comforted that she has been reunited with the love of her life, our father Pete, who passed away this past January.

Mom, we are so blessed for the kindness and compassion you have shown us throughout our lives and we will miss you always.
