Charles meant so much to me as a mentor and friend. He gave so much of his time to teach me many things in the lodge, and a few lifes lessons thrown in for good measure. He was someone who made the rest of us better for having known him and I will always treasure the memories and the lessons I learned. Thanks so much to his family for allowing us to share him, and know that you're in my prayers. The hardest lesson I've learned from Charles was in his passing though. Never wait to tell someone what they meant to you, because like me, you might not have time.

After my Father passed in 1986 you were always Daddy, big shoes to fill from my perspective but you filled that void for me. Now my heart aches again. There will always be that emptiness. You will be sorely missed but never ever forgotten. My deepest love forever.

We've lost a unique and wonderful friend of almost 45 years. So many great memories it will take the rest of our lives to recount them all. His quick witted humor and honesty set him apart. How lucky are we to have known him and his beautiful family.
