Chasie B. Keith
Born in Hattiesburg, Mississippi on April 27, 1925, and longtime resident of Laurel has passed into the presence of our Lord, Sunday August 28, he was 91 years old. 
Chasie is preceded in death by his daughter Susan McGuigan (Keith) and survived by his wife Marian Keith (Ganey), daughters Jeanne Keith, Mary Anderson (Keith), son-in-law Danny Anderson, Carol Adkins (Keith), son-in-law Steve, Tricia Gatto (Keith), nine grandchildren, Tony, Kelly, Hailee, Emily, Michael, Lindsey, Alicia, Sarah and Stephanie, plus four great-grandkids; as well as his sister Ollie Di Pietro, and many nieces and nephews whom he loved and kept in touch with. 
Chasie was a proud World War II veteran who served through the duration of the war in the 2nd Armored Division “Hell on Wheels” seeing action in North Africa, Italy, and Europe.  Later in life he would join the Young Warriors Association for those who were underage during their time in the service.  Chasie was a member of the American Legion Post 60 in Laurel. 
After the war Chasie moved to Laurel to be near family and start a new life.  It is here he would marry, and raise a family.  He was an independent business owner of the Laurel Meat Market on Main St. and later he worked as a Star Route Mail deliver in Howard Co. He owned a home on Nichols Dr. where he lived till last summer when he and Marian moved to Salisbury to live with their daughter Carol and her family.  He was deeply loved and will be missed.  
Services for Chasie Keith will be held on Friday, September 2, beginning at 10:00 a.m. for the viewing with the service to follow.  There will be a Military Service at the chapel at Crownsville Veteran Cemetery, 1122 Sunrise Beach Road Crownsville, MD 21032 at 1:00 P.M.
