Connie T. Bell

Connie T. Bell,  78, of Laurel, MD passed away Thursday, June 7, 2018

She was born on July 6, 1939 (in her grandmother’s house) to the late Vincent Trupkovich and the late Mildred (nee Bowers) Trupkovich in McClellantown, PA

Connie graduated from German Township High School in 1957.  Connie married Douglas W. Bell on June 3, 1961 and soon moved to Maryland, setting up a home in the Maryland City area of Laurel in 1966.

She worked as a secretary for the federal government at various agencies ultimately retiring from the government at the DC Children’s Center in Laurel, MD.  After leaving the federal government, Connie worked for Control System Sales as a secretary for an other 18 years, finally retiring from working in 2008.

Connie enjoyed cross stitch, bowling, cooking and was an avid Redskins fan.

Connie loved to send cards and letters and considered it her ministry to reach out to the sick in her church community.

She is survived by her loving husband Douglas W. Bell and her devoted son Kirk D. Bell and his wife Eileen.  She leaves behind three grandchildren that she adored; Megan Bell, Connor Bell and Ryan Bell.  She is also survived by her sister, JoAnn Trupkovich.  Besideds her parents, Connie is pre deceased by a brother Richard Trupkovich.    

Visitation will be on Tuesday, June 12, 2018 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the Donaldson Funeral Home, 313 Talbott Ave, Laurel, MD 20707.  Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, June 13, 2018 in the Chapel of the Donaldson Funeral Home beginning at 11:00 AM.  Interment will follow at Ivy Hill Cemetery in Laurel, MD.
