Gloria Ruth Eader, 91, a life time resident of Burtonsville, MD, passed away peacefully Sunday, January 15, 2017. She was born in Olney, MD on November 29, 1925 to Roy and Margaret Athey of Burtonsville, MD. Gloria is survived by her children, Cynthia Wright and her husband Dallas, Brian Eader and his wife Lois, Gary Eader and his wife Marceia, and Larry Eader.
She was a loving grandmother to 8 grandchildren, Timothy Wright, Christopher Wright, Andrea Sharar, Amy Eader, Brent Eader, Dawn Engelhardt, Michael Eader and David Eader; and 10 great grandchildren, Porter and Elena Wright, Delanie and Chase Sharar, Cameron, Zachery, Caitlin, Taylor, Hope and Kendall Eader; and a sister, Joyce Jestes.
In addition to her parents, Gloria was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 60 years, Herman C. Eader in 2001, a son, Wayne Eader, two daughter-in-laws, Karen Eader and Diane Eader; and siblings Margaret Weakley, Carol Midkiff, Gerald Athey and Gilbert Athey.
Visitation will be on Friday, January 20, 2017, from 3-7 PM at the Donaldson Funeral Home, P.A., 313 Talbott Ave, Laurel, MD 20707. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 21, 2017 at 10:00 AM at the Donaldson Funeral Chapel.
Burial will follow at Union Cemetery, Burtonsville, MD.
