My sincerest sympathies to Howard's family. I knew Howard while stationed in Vicenza, Italy from mid 1967 to February 1969. We both worked out of the Post Quartermaster's office. He was a true friend during my time stationed there. I can honestly say that we had more than a few pizzas and beer together. Howard took me on leave for a couple of weeks to Berlin. It was nice to visit some place with someone who had been there before and knew their way around. In turn, I took Howard with me on temporary duty to Rome for a couple of days. Again, My Sincerest Sympathies.

We didn't spend enough time together, but the time we did I will always cherish. Millie just know I did LOVE HIM

Aunt Millie,
I offer my deepest sympathy for your loss. If I were in Jersey, I would be there for you. Know that I am thinking of you and Uncle Howard. I always thought of him as a somebody special. Maybe because he was a mystery person away in the service of his country, during so many years of my youth. I, too, will miss him. Love you, Dorine

So sorry, Millie. I know how hard it is to lose one you love and one you spent so many years with. I know from talking with Barb, you and Howie had many good years together and shared lots of memorable experiences for which you can be thankful.
