James William Daucher, 72, of Savage, Maryland, passed away on January 11, 2019, surrounded by his family.
“Jimmy” was born to parents Frederick Daucher and Carolyn Schwenz, on July 28, 1946, in Monticello, New York. His family moved to Maryland in the early 1960s.
Jimmy graduated from Laurel Senior High School in 1965. He was on the high school’s wrestling team and was an avid sports fan. He then went on to volunteer to serve his country during the Vietnam War and was honorably discharged as a Military Police in the Army. With his undying passion to serve, he went on to become a Maryland State Trooper (MSP) in 1972 where he worked with the MSP both as a trooper and Police communications officer until 2018.
He is survived by his two sons Mark and James, daughter Amy, and five grandchildren.
Relative and friends are invited to visit at the Chapel of the Donaldson Funeral Home, P.A. 313 Talbott Avenue, Route 198 West, Laurel, MD 20707 on Thursday, January 17, 2019 from 10 until 11 am at which time a funeral service will be held. Cremation services to follow will be private.
