Janet Adams Lord

Janet Adams Lord, a resident of Laurel for 20 years, passed away on June 11, 2016.  She died peacefully in her home, soon after celebrating her 60th birthday surrounded by her friends and family.  She was born June 10, 1956 to Cecilia and the late Donald Adams.  She grew up in Panama City, Panama before moving to the United States where she attended Junior High in Chula Vista, California, and high school at The Siena Academy in Adrian, Michigan.  She later attended Central Michigan University where she studied Art.  When she returned to Panama, she began working for the Panamanian Government.  One of her favorite assignments was when she was sent to New York to work as an aid for the United Nations Ambassador to Panama.  She loved working with the various diplomats, enjoyed elegant affairs, and casted votes on behalf of the Ambassador.
In 1996, Janet met her husband, Allen Lord and was later married in 1999.  She worked hard to help her husband maintain his business, upkeep the home, and care for her new family.   Janet enjoyed trying new restaurants, shopping, and spending time with her friends.  She especially enjoyed spending time with her grandson Ayden.  She loved to travel, especially to see her family in Panama annually.
Janet is survived by her mother, Cecilia Adams, beloved husband of 17 years Allen Lord; stepchildren Arnold Lord, Susan Lord Moris, and Julie Bache; brother Bill Adams; 9 grandchildren: Josh, Marisa, Ryan, Megan and Malia Lord, Cameron Bache, and Sara, Andrew and Ayden Moris; niece, Susan Adams and nephews, Matthew, William and Donald Adams, as well as extended family in Panama.

Janet Adams Lord, residente de Laurel durante  20 años, fallecio el dia 11 de Junio del 2016. Ella falleció en paz en su casa, poco después de celebrar su cumpleano numero 60, rodeada de sus familiares y amigos. Ella nació el 10 de junio de 1956,  su madre Cecilia Adams y su difunto padre Donald Adams. Ella creció en la Ciudad de Panamá antes de trasladarse a los Estados Unidos, donde asistió a la escuela secundaria en Chula Vista, California, y a la Academia de Siena en Adrian, Michigan. Más tarde asistió a la Universidad Central de Michigan, donde estudió Arte. Cuando regresó a Panamá, empezo a trabajar para el Gobierno de Panamá. Una de sus tareas favoritas fue, cuando fue enviada a Nueva York para trabajar como asistente al Embajador de Panama en las Naciones Unidas. A ella le encantaba trabajar con los diversos diplomáticos, disfrutó de los asuntos elegantes y colocó votos  en representación del Embajador.

En 1996, Janet conoció a su marido, Allen Lord  y se casó más tarde en 1999. Ella trabajó duro para ayudar a su esposo a mantener su negocio, el mantenimiento del hogar y el cuidado de su nueva familia.  A Janet le gustaba  visitar  nuevos restaurantes, tiendas, y pasar tiempo con sus amistades.  Ademas, a ella le encantaba pasar tiempo con su nieto Ayden. Janet disfrutaba viajar, especialmente para visitar a su familia cada año en Panamá.

A Janet le sobreviven su madre Cecilia Adams,  su amado esposo durante 17 años, Allen Lord; hijastros Arnold Lord, Susan Lord Moris y Julie Lord Bache; su hermano Bill Adams; 9 nietos: Josh, Marisa, Ryan, Megan y Malia Lord, Cameron Bache y Sara, Andrew y Ayden Moris; su  sobrina, Susan Adams y sobrinos, Mateo, William y Donald Adams , así como una gran familia en Panamá.
