Janet Kay Richardson

Janet Kay Richardson, 81, of Laurel, MD., passed away on Friday, December 22, 2017. She was the beloved wife of the late Harry Edward Richardson and born to Roy E. Hepler and Ruth Catherine Hepler on October 6, 1936 in Lavelle, PA.

After graduating Bulter Township High School, she attended McCann School of Business and went on to serve as a secretary in several large corporations. Janet was extremely dedicated to her family and was afforded the opportunity to be a homemaker for many years. Her children and grandchildren were her passion and delight.  She enjoyed spending time with her lifelong friends and hearing from them from afar. Janet loved reading and traveling and was grateful for her time doing both.

Janet will be remembered with love by her three children, Eddie Hunter Richardson and wife Christine of Laurel, MD, Stacey Feaga and husband Barry (Bo) of Centreville, MD and Robert Hepler Richardson and wife Shandra of Gainesville, VA; a sister Gale Frey of Lavelle, PA; ten grandchildren, Edward, Nicholas, Taylor, Emma, Matt, Amanda, Madison, Reid, Brooks and Ellie.

Memorial services will be conducted at 12PM on Thursday, December 28, 2017 at Donaldson Funeral Home at 313 Talbott Ave, Laurel, MD 20707.  A graveside service will be held on Tuesday January 2, 2018 at 11:30 AM at Citizens Cemetery, Ashland, PA.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, from 11AM - 12PM at the Donaldson Funeral Home.
