Joseph William Longfellow

Joseph William Longfellow, Sr., a resident of Laurel and formerly of Beltsville, MD died July 24, 2017 at the age of 98.

He was born November 11, 1918 in Harrington, DE to the late Joseph and Elizabeth Longfellow.  He was an Army WWII Veteran that served in the 738th Tank Battalion.  He retired from Sheet Metal Work after 50 years.  He was a member of the American Legion, The Moose, The Elks Lodge, and The Knights of Columbus.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Lucia, 2 daughters, and 2 grandsons.  He is survived by 1 son, 3 daughters, 13 grandchildren, and 28 great-grandchildren.

A private ceremony was held.
