Mary Alice Keeney

Mary “Shorty” Keeney, 87, of Savage, Maryland passed away July 29, 2017.  She was born April 6, 1930 to Robert and Virgie Sherman of Savage.  Mary was a member of First Baptist Church of Savage since 1976. She enjoyed sharing life and memories with her family.  She provided “daycare” for all 5 grandchildren and so enjoyed every moment with them.  Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were the light of her life. 

Mary is survived by her daughters Linda Faye Collins and her husband, Joseph Collins; Celeste Elaine Ebersole and her husband, David Ebersole, her grandchildren Jason Jess; Michael Collins and his wife, Theresa; Steve Collins and his wife Lauren; Elaine Panciocco and her husband Nicholas; Allison Ebersole, and great grandchildren Tanner Collins, Austin Collins, and Liam Collins.  Mary is survived by 3 siblings – Joan Wines, Irene “Renee” Clark, and James Sherman.

Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Louis Keeney, her daughter, Carolyn Jess, and her siblings – John “Gilbert” Sherman, Francis Souder, Virginia “Ginny” Collison, Marie Lineberry, and Robert “Bobby” Sherman.
