Ok Nam Kwon

Ok Nam Kwon, a resident of Columbia, MD, passed away on Monday, September 17, 2018 at Lorien Health Systems in Columbia, MD. She was 91 when she passed away.

Ok Nam Kwon lived through many difficult time periods. She was a survivor of the Japanese conquest of Korea and the Korean war. Despite living through these tough times she and her family immigrated to the United States. Here, she was able to watch her family flourish in the "new world." Through her sacrifices and overcoming of obstacles Ok Nam Kwon was able to provide her family a happy life.

Ok Nam is survived by 7 children: Maeja, Chongsim, Hyesuk, Malsuk, Chongsuk, Sangtaek, and Kiyon.

The family will receive friends at the Donaldson Funeral Home, P.A., 313 Talbott Avenue, Laurel, MD 20707 on Friday, September 21, 2018 from 5:30 pm to 8:00 pm.

A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, September 22, 2018 at 10:00 am in the Donaldson Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Crest Lawn Memorial Garden, Marriottsville, MD.
