To the Kennedy family:
The Gordon family is saddened by the passing of Pete. My father, Stewart Gordon, who passed away on 10 January 2018, and my mother Rosalind Gordon, now living in San Diego, California, shared a friendship with Pat and Pete for many years. My father and Pete served together as Navy officers. I have fond memories of growing up with Christopher, Patty, and Eileen. May you cherish the beautiful memories.

I just happened to notice the passing of Peter P. Kennedy, CDR USN, on Joe Glockner's CT website. I served on the USS OXFORD with him in 1969. He was the Head of Operations for our Technical Dept. He had an office just past our spaces. I considered him the most important individual on that ship. He was an officer that was respected by everyone. I recall him as being tall, knowledgeable, and quiet. I used to go back to his office to deliver messages that were routed to him. I have nothing but good thoughts of him. RIP, Commander Kennedy !
