Richard V. Beall, 91 of Laurel, Maryland passed away on October 2, 2018
He was born in 1927 to Richard E. and Susie F. Beall of Burtonville, Maryland.
Richard spent his younger years on the family farm and then enlisted in the US Navy and served aboard the Aircraft Carrier, U.S.S. Princeton, during World War II. He left military service, married, and with the help and support of his wife, Hester M. Beall, he established many successful local businesses to include Beall Trucking, Boyd Tank Lines, Cork & Bottle Liquors, and a real estate partnership, Beall & Doughtery.
In his younger years he enjoyed golfing and bowling with his buddies. He was an active participant in the University of Maryland Terrapin Club and enjoyed attending the athletic events. He also was an avid horse lover and owned a local show barn, attending many equestrian events both in and out of state. As he aged, his love for the farm life remained and he spent many hours in his beloved air-conditioned John Deere tractor mowing the fields and sitting, watching his farm animals in the field.
He is survived by his children, Richard D. Beall of Glenelg, MD. and Brenda S.Stone of Bernville, PA. and their spouses respectively Cathy Beall and Clare Mulvenna. Richard has several married grandchildren, Eddie & Hilary Beall, Clint & Meagan Beall, Amy Preston & Bryan Mayrovitz, Mark & Dayna Stone, Sean & Linda Stone. He is also blessed with 4 great-grandchildren, Morgan Mayrovitz, Aidan Stone, Rylee Stone & Therese Beall.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard E. & Susie F. Beall, his wife, Hester M. Beall, his brother, James W. Beall and his sister, Ruth DeShazor.
Visitation will be on Sunday, October 7, 2018 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the Donaldson Funeral Home, P.A., 313 Talbott Ave, Laurel, MD 20707.
