Suzanne N. Johnson

Suzanne Nittolo Johnson, 62, of Laurel, Maryland passed away June 27, 2017 at Gilchrist Hospice in Columbia, Maryland.

She was born in 1954 to the late George P. and Barbara Nittolo in Millville, New Jersey. Her early years were spent growing up in Millville with her loving parents. She has been a resident of Laurel for the past 32 years.

Suzanne was a member of Good Hope Presbyterian Church of Fulton, Maryland.

She enjoyed gardening, photography, flowers, the seashore, and time in the mountains. She enjoyed teaching Chemistry and interacting with her students at Montgomery College and other local institutions. She enjoyed playing the violin.

She is survived by husband of 35 years Peter Johnson, and loving sons Mark Johnson and Curtis Johnson.

Visitation will be held on Friday, July 7, 2017 from 3:00 PM until 7:00 PM at the Donaldson Funeral Home, P.A., 313 Talbott Avenue, Laurel, MD 20707 and from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM on Saturday July 8, 2017 at the church prior to the funeral service. 

The funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 8, 2017 at Good Hope Presbyterian Church, 12131 Route 216, Fulton MD  20759 beginning at 1:00 PM.  

Interment will take place on Monday, July 10 beginning at 10:45 AM at the Maryland State Veterans Cemetary, 1122 Sunrise Beach Road, Crownsville, MD 21032.

If desired, the family would suggest charitable donations be made in her name to the University of Maryland Greenebaum Cancer Center, 22 S. Greene Street, Baltimore MD 21201.
