Alan Paul Pohland

Alan Pohland, age 45, passed away in Laurel, MD on Monday, October 25, 2021.

Born April 11, 1976 in Silver Spring, MD, Son of Albert and Linda Pohland.  He lived for many years in Land O Lakes, FL, where he worked waiting tables and tending bar, and most recently in Laurel, MD, where he worked for UPS.

Alan Pohland is survived by his parents: Albert and Linda Pohland, and his siblings: Michael, Robert, Teresa, Corinne, Oriyomi, and Timothy.

Alan was an avid Washington Capitals and Washington Football Team fan, who enjoyed hosting family cookouts at his parent’s house and being the ‘fun’ Uncle to his nephews and nieces. He was always quick with a joke or a funny meme, and liked to shock everyone by doing gross stuff, like eating cicadas. He loved to go on family vacations each year and could out-hike the rest of his family with his never ending energy. He has spent the last few years taking good care of his parents. 

Alan will be truly missed by all who knew him. Please offer a thoughtful prayer or tell a funny joke in honor of Alan Pohland.
