James Howard McCamant of Bel Air, Maryland, at 38 years of age, unexpectedly passed away September 10, 2020 at his home.
James was a loving, devoted father, survived by his son Michael (Mikey), mother Sandra (Sandi) McCamant of Bluffton, SC, father Stuart (Stu) McCamant of Laurel, MD , brother Eric McCamant of North Beach, MD, brother Howard Patterson of Glen Burnie, MD, sister Karen Patterson Saunders of Delta, PA, grandmother Eleanor McCamant of Greensburg, PA and many aunts, uncles, cousins , extended family members and countless friends.
James grew up in Laurel, MD and upon graduation from Laurel High School, moved to Harford County.
James thrived by taking on challenges of fixing, repairing and finding solutions. He was known for his quick wit and kind, compassionate spirit. Always eager to offer help to dozens of friends, neighbors and family, James shared his skills whether for technical, electronic or mechanical items in need of repair.
Employed as a mechanical service technician prior to his passing, James also volunteered and donated his talents at Legends of the Fog Haunted House in Aberdeen, Harford County, which raises money for local charities. He enjoyed a passion for cooking, baking, grilling outdoors and gardening, thereafter sharing his tasteful feasts among friends.
James will be greatly missed forever.
A memorial celebration will be planned at a future time.
