Donald Charles Snyder (age 74) passed away July 11, 2018 at home in Hyattsville, MD. He was a graduate of Alma College in Alma, MI and obtained his PhD in Economics at the University of Maryland, College Park, MD. He taught Economics at both the University of Maryland and Howard University in Washington, D.C., going on to the Government Accountability Office (GAO) from which he retired after more than 20 years of Federal Service. Outside of work, his overriding passion was gardening. Upon retiring, he became a Master Gardener, avidly tending to his own garden as well as those of others. He is predeceased by his mother and father, Gertrude and Don Snyder of Alma, MI and survived by his life partner Louise ("Penny") Schiller.
