Dorothy J. Shaw

Dorothy Jane (Stup) Shaw, 89, of Laurel, MD passed away on December 10, 2019.

Dorothy was born in 1930 to John Samuel Stup, Sr. and Ruth Elean (Keeney) Stup in Searsville, Frederick County, MD.

She was a former member of Savage Baptist Church and a current member of Hope Baptist Church both in Laurel, MD.

She retired from F.W. Woolworth Company in 1992. Dorothy enjoyed Flea Market browsing, collecting Blue Willow china, Trailer-Camping at Breezy Point, collecting eagle figurines, silver spoons and teaching Children’s Sunday School and Children’s Church.

Dot was preceded in death by: her Father John Samuel Stup, Sr., her Mother Ruth Elean (Keeney), her Brother Paul David Stup, her Husband of 65 years John H. Shaw, Jr., her Sister Ruth Elean (Stup) Bennett, her Sister Irene Gertrude (Stup) Vincent, and her Brother John Samuel Stup, Jr.

She is survived by her Sister Adessa Daisy (Stup) Harper, Brother George Grant Stup, Brother Jacob Jerome Stup, Brother Harry Edward Stup, Daughter and husband, Doug & Linda (Shaw) Ousborne, two Grandsons and wives, Colonel Michael & Sarah Green and Matthew & Abigail Ousborne, five great grandchildren, Ashley, Jonathan, Emily and Grace Green and Hadley Joy Ousborne.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit at the Donaldson Funeral Home, P.A.313 Talbott Avenue Laurel, Md. 20707 on Monday, 12/16, from 3:00 until 7:00 pm.

With a funeral service in the chapel of Donaldson Funeral Home on Tuesday, 12/17, 11:00 am.

Interment is immediately following the Funeral at Glen Haven Cemetery, 7231 Ritchie Highway, Glen Burnie, MD, 21061.
