Gerald (Jerry) Cleveland Hall a/k/a Peanut, of Bowie, passed away on January 23, 2020 surrounded by his family. He was 77.
He was born in 1942 to Ellis Cleveland Hall, Jr. and Mildred Cecilia. He grew up in Laurel, MD. He was in the Air Force, served as a member of the Laurel Police Dept. and also the Prince George’s County Sherriff’s Dept. He retired from the Superior Court of the District of Columbia and was also a bus driver.
He loved baseball, bowling, woodworking, tinkering, fast cars, horses, old westerns, family gatherings, dogs and being a grandfather. He loved to socialize and talk on the phone too. More than anything, he loved a good meal.
He is survived by his wife Kay, his daughter Teresa, son Greg, and daughters Angie and Cindy as well as his sisters Sharon and Marlene. He has nine grandchildren, Michael, Joshua, Gerad, Kayla, Aaron, Faythe, Ellie, Hope and Emelia and eight great grandchildren.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit at the Donaldson Funeral Home, P.A. 313 Talbott Ave, Laurel, MD 20707 on Monday, January 27, 2020 from 11:00 AM until 12:00 PM followed by a funeral service. Interment with military honors to follow at George Washington Memorial Park.
