Nancy Lalane Mitchell, a longtime resident of Laurel, passed away on September 5, 2017 at Howard County General Hospital. She was 69. She was born on September 7, 1947 in Washington, D.C. to the late John and Mary Fitzgerald. She retired in 2012 from the Local Union as a sheet metal worker. Nancy fostered dogs through an organization called MABB ( Mid Atlantic Bully Buddies ), enjoyed making jewelry, spending time at Oliver’s on Friday nights, and most of all spending time with her grandchildren whom she adored.
Nancy is survived by her loving son Matthew Fitzgerald Mitchell and his wife Tara; cherished grandchildren Lila Grace Mitchell and Eli Fitzgerald Mitchell; brother Timothy Fitzgerald; and granddog Cotton.
