Rita Janezeck Cavanaugh, 89, of Laurel, Maryland passed away on Thursday, June 7, 2018. She was preceded in death by her husband, George J. Cavanaugh, in 2013. She is survived by her daughter, Mary Cavanaugh Wastler, and son-in-law, Steve; her son, John D. Cavanaugh; and her beloved granddaughter, Morgan P. Cavanaugh. She is also survived by her sisters, Ann Kyber and Mary Eckholm; brother, John Janezeck; and numerous nieces and nephews.
An avid reader and card player, she will be especially missed by The Card Club.

Visitation will be Thursday, June 14, 2018 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Donaldson Funeral Home, P.A., 313 Talbott Avenue, Laurel, MD 20707. Funeral services will take place on Friday, June 15, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary of the Mills Roman Catholic Church, 114 St. Mary’s Place, Laurel, MD 20707.
Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, 13801 Georgia Avenue, Silver Spring, MD 20906.
