Alice Louise Miles

Alice Louise Miles, 85 a lifelong resident of Laurel, Maryland died on Tuesday, November 20, 2012, at Patuxent River Health and Rehabilitation Center in Laurel, Maryland.
Born Wednesday, July 6, 1927 in Laurel, Maryland, she was the daughter of the late Allie Merson and the late Dora Hayworth Merson.
She attended of Laurel High School and was employed at the lunch counter at Woolworth in Laurel Shopping Center before taking a job as a waitress at the Laurel Bowling Alley. After leaving the bowling alley in the late 1960's she took the waitress job at Little Tavern and stayed there until the mid-1980's.
Surviving are her children, Brenda Manley of South Carolina, Howard Miles of Laurel, MD, Wayne Miles of Laurel, MD, and Mary Catherine Carter of Laurel, MD. Also survived by 7 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren.
