Alice Winona Rahn

Alice Winona Rahn, age 96, passed away peacefully on May 14, 2026. She was born January 21, 1930 in Burtonsville, Maryland, daughter of William Otho and Virgie Estelle (Murphy) Beasley. She was a graduate of Montgomery Blair High School and a lifelong resident of Fairland, Maryland who worked for the Montgomery County Public Schools System until her retirement in 1993. Alice was also a devoted volunteer at Montgomery General Hospital.

Alice is survived by a son, Bruce Rahn (Linda), and a daughter, Suzanne Rahn, grandchildren Amy Sanchez, Amanda Wu (Ty), Nathan Rahn (Katie), Andrew Sparrow, and Mark Homayouni, along with four great-grandchildren. Alice was preceded in death by former spouse, William A. Rahn, Jr. and a daughter, Patricia Weaver (Charles).

Burial will be held at Reflection Park, 16621 New Hampshire Ave, Silver Spring, MD on Tuesday, May 19, 2026 at 2:00 PM. A celebration of life memorial gathering will be held at a later date to be announced.

Memorial contributions may be made in honor of Alice to Montgomery County Humane Society.
