Alice Rufino Vicente

Alice Rufino Vicente passed away peacefully at home on June 28, 2024.

Born in Macalhona, Portugal on August 28, 1934, Alice and her family immigrated to the United States in 1975. Alice was known for her warmth and generosity, especially in her homemade bread, which she lovingly shared with friends and family.

Alice is survived by her children Matilde Mendes (João) and Ilidio Vicente, grandchildren Ana Mendes (Ralph) and Sergio Mendes (Michelle), great grandchildren Dylan Fannon and Luca and Bruno Mendes, brothers Ilidio and Antonio, nieces, nephews, and many other loved ones. She is preceded in death by her parents, Antonio Rufino and Rosa Feliciano, and her husband of 53 years, Joaquim Alexandre Vicente.

A funeral mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Monday, July 8 at St. Bernard of Clairvaux Roman Catholic Church (5700 Saint Bernard Drive Riverdale Park, MD, 20737) with internment to follow at 12 p.m. at Gate of Heaven Cemetery (13801 Georgia Ave, Silver Spring, MD 20906).
