Amber Marie (Spain) Collins

On September 22, 2022, Amber Marie Collins, 34, of Columbia, MD passed away.  Amber was born August 31, 1988 in Silver Spring, Maryland.

For the last few years, being Mom was her life.  Taking care of Austin and teaching him about life was all consuming.  Amber loved all animals including her Great Danes, and butterflies.  She was a collector of Painted Ponies.  Before becoming a Mom, Amber loved her jobs and was a hard and good worker.

She is survived by her husband of 10 years, Dominick Collins and her three year old son, Austin.  She is also survived by her parents, Philip and Teresa Spain; her in-laws, Joan and Greg Daniels; her sister, Keri Zowd (Joe); her brother-in-law Quentin Collins (Marhonda); nieces and nephews, Kayla and Joseph Zowd, and Nate, Jaxon and Laela Collins. Amber leaves behind her grandparents, Betty Harley (Kirby) and Elwin Condon (Rose), her aunts and uncle (Shirley Murdock, Sharon Stevens (Bill) and Mark Stowell (Robin)) and her first cousins, Samantha, Courtney, Lauren, Megan, Cynthia, Justin, Ashley, Ella, Emma and Kyle and many, many more extended family members.  She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Pearl Spain; and her great grandparents, Earl and Lucille Tucker and Theron and Dorothea Condon.

Visitation will be on Saturday, October 1 from 3pm-7pm at the Donaldson Funeral Home, P.A., 313 Talbott Ave, Laurel, MD 20707.

Funeral services will be on Sunday, October 2 at 11:30 also at Donaldson Funeral Home, P.A. of Laurel.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Amber’s name to BARCS (The Baltimore Animal Rescue and Care Shelter, 2490 Giles Road, Baltimore, MD 21225).
