Andrew Lee Johnson, 74, Longtime resident of Laurel, passed away on Wednesday December 13, 2017 at University of Maryland, Laurel Regional Medical Center.
He was born in 1943 to William McKinnley Johnson and Mercy (Moore) Johnson in Blounts Creek, NC.
Andrew retired as a supervisor from the Maryland and Virginia Milk Producers Processing Plant.
He was a simple country man who loved his family and outdoor activities such as hunting and fishing. Andrew also liked working on cars, NASCAR races as well as classic cars.
He is also survived by his children, Andrew “Pop”Johnson, Andrea Kyle (Ron Kyle), Sherry McGill, Cassie Johnson, and Brian Johnson (Jonetta Johnson). His grandchildren Britney Robertson, Jasmine McGill, Tanice Coates, Cameron Weans, Great Grandchildren, Joshua Johnson and Briana Johnson, three sisters Angerline Thomas, Patricia Minor and Maryann and numerous nieces and nephews.
Andrew was preceded in death by his parents, wife Annie Louise Johnson in 2010, sisters, Clarissa Savage, Roxanne Keyes and a brother William “Bud” Johnson.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 23 at 2:00PM at the Donaldson Funeral Home Chapel. 313 Talbott Ave. Laurel, MD 20707.
