On January 4, 2018 Anita Fischer (Murphy), age 76 of Laurel passed away peacefully. She was born in Baltimore, MD was a graduate of the Institute of Notre Dame, and worked for the Federal Aviation Administration where she met her husband of 52 years Calvin Fischer. She was an avid fan of the Days of Our Lives, as well as several other Soap Operas and traveled to conventions and appearances by the shows stars. Her main focus in life was raising her children and spending time with her grandchildren. She is survived by her husband Calvin, daughter Lisa, son Craig, and grandchildren: Caleb, Charleen, Julia, Jack, Michael, and Matthew.
