Anthony Marshall was born on May 21, 1955 in Washington, DC to the late John and Shirley Marshall.  We was the fourth of 7 children.   He peacefully journeyed into eternity on December 14, 2016 at his home in Laurel, MD

Anthony affectionately known as Tony was a proud graduate of Cardozo High School in Washington, DC.  While attending he was a member of the school band and played the saxophone.  After graduation he attended the Computer Learning Center where he obtained his certification as an  Information  Technology Technician.

Tony married Rosalind Thomas on July 14, 1990.  Together they raised four children:  Bailey, Randall, Auston, and Juston Marshall.  Tony’s children were most cherished inspiration.  Tony was the father that attended all field trips, school events, and constantly volunteered for all activities that the children were involved in.  From coaching to selling to Girl Scout cookies he did it all.  Tony loved food and was a fantastic cook.  He taught not only his wife but his children how to cook.  Tony’s first grandchild (Olivia) was born this year.

Tony worked as an IT Technician his entire professional career.  He was last employed with the Pan American Health Association and Arlington County Government.  Tony was a member of Reid Temple AME Church located in Glendale, MD.

Tony was a HUGE Redskins fan.  He attended many home games and never missed a game on Sundays.  His children would tease him, that during the football season his mood was completely based on whether the Redskins won or lost.

Tony leaves to cherish his memory, Rosalind Marshall, his four children, Randall and Bailey Marshall of Laurel, MD Juston Marshall of Washington, DC and Auston Marshall of Fredericksburg, VA; one granddaughter Olivia Noel Bland; three sisters Shirley Payne,  Debra Marshall, and Andrita Spencer (Orrin); two brothers Eric Marshall (Kim); and Terry Marshall; three aunts Brenda Washington, Gloria Brodgins and Ethel Wallace (Richard); two god daughters Courtney Prescod and Sydney Bowman; six close friends Celeste Edwards, Pricilla Edwards, Avis Williams, Loretta Shipman, George Gardner and Vinson Perry; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
