On January 11th 2026 at 5:15 am Barbara Jean Bennett passed away peacefully, she was 84 years young. Also known as Mom, Grandma, Momma B, Ms. Bennett, and Barbara. Born and raised in Washington, D.C., She raised five children on her own, instilling in them the values of strength, resilience, and compassion. Her unwavering dedication to her family was a testament to her unyielding love and commitment. Barbara was a force to be reckoned with - tough, loving, and unapologetically herself.

Barbara was the ultimate grandmother and great-grandmother, showering love and laughter on her grandbabies. And even in her final days, she showed us what it means to live with courage and purpose. We kept her illness private, respecting her wish to shield everyone from worry.

Mom, you lived life on your terms, and you lived it WIDE OPEN. You are a ROCKSTAR, and you will be deeply missed. We love you more than words can say. Rest easy!! 💔

A celebration of Barbara's life will be on March 26th 2026 at Donaldson Funeral Home, P.A. in Laurel, MD from 5pm to 8pm.
