Barbara Ann Childress

Barbara Ann Childress 72 of Rehoboth Beach, Delaware passed away on December 20, 2024. She was born in 1952 to Sammie Luther and Rachel Duvall Luther in Montgomery County, Maryland. She worked as a police officer for ten years in Princess Anne, Maryland. After that she started her own business in Rehoboth Beach. She loved flowers and gardening. She was an avid Jimmy Buffett fan and was a member of the Parrott Heads.

She is survived by her son Sammie Childress and wife Elaine of Houston, Texas, brother Rex Luther and wife Linda of Sebastian, Florida, sister Dawn Hainey and husband Ray of Savage, Maryland. She also has three grandsons Jacob, Zachary and Mason of Delaware. She was preceded in death by her parents Sam and Rachel Luther.

Memorial service will be held in the Chapel at Donaldson Funeral Home, P.A. 313 Talbott Avenue Laurel, Maryland 20707 on Saturday, January 4, 2025 at 2 pm
