Barbara M. Sanders

Barbara Marie Sanders, age 63, passed away at home on June 30, 2016, in Laurel, Maryland.

She was born on December 6, 1952, in Wilmington, Delaware to Harry A. Brown and Doris Choice Brown. Barbara graduated from the University of Dayton in 1975. After graduation, Barbara worked for both Erie Insurance and Century Insurance. When her two daughters were born, she homeschooled both of them from kindergarten through grade 12. Later, Barbara became an Avon Representative where she excelled in sales, earning recognition as a member of Avon's President's Club. Barbara was a member of Solid Rock Church of Riverdale, Maryland.

Barbara is survived by her husband of 35 years Cleveland Sanders, daughters, April Cruz, devoted son-in-law, Juan Cruz, and daughter, Victoria Sanders. Barbara’s daughter, Crystal Sanders, preceded her in death. She is also survived by siblings, Maryann Brown-Martin, Pamela Brown, Harry A. Brown Jr. (Linda), D. Michael Brown (Valarie), Peter J. Brown, Reginald Hill Sr.(Shelia), Theresa Hunt (Anthony), Therese Johnson, and 7 nieces and 8 nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a memorial service for Barbara on Saturday, July 16th at 11a.m. The service will be held at Solid Rock Church located at 5401 Good Luck Road, Riverdale, Maryland 20737.

In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made in Barbara's name at the Susan G. Komen foundation at ww5.komen.org/
