Bea E. Short, age 56, of Lothian, MD, died Wednesday, February 5, 2014, at Anne Arundel Medical Center in Annapolis, MD.
She was born on September 22, 1957 and was the daughter of the late George Blanch, Sr. and the late Wanda Blanch. Bea was born and raised in Laurel, Maryland and resided in the Laurel area until moving to Lothian, Maryland about 7 years ago. She attended Arundel High School and graduated in 1975.
Bea is survived by her son Kenny Short, three grandchildren; Preston, Alyssa and Chance and her Aunt Doris Rebish. Bea leaves behind 7 siblings; Debbie Herbert of Bowie, MD, Mike Blanch of Laurel, Butch Blanch of Laurel, Eddie Blanch of Greensboro, MD, Teresa Nikstaitis of Hampstead , MD, Tommy Kilby of Laurel, MD and Andy Blanch of Hampstead. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews. Bea is predeceased by a brother, George Blanch, Jr.
A visitation will be held on Sunday, February 9, 2014 from 2-4 PM at the Donaldson Funeral Home, P.A., 313 Talbott Avenue, Laurel, Maryland 20707. A funeral service will be held on Sunday beginning at 3:00 PM.
