Belinda Ann Mitchell

Belinda Mitchell, (age 63) passed away on Tuesday, April 11, 2017 at her residence in Laurel, MD.

Belinda was employed as an Academic Program Specialist with the University of Maryland University College (UMUC) for over 22 years before retiring in May of 2016 for medical reasons.  Belinda was also an active member of the Laurel Moose Lodge.

Belinda was the loving wife of Robert O. Mitchell and the devoted mother to her daughter, Dawn Shreves and her husband Donnie and the late Janet Weaver.  She was also survived her step son, Kevin Mitchell and Rachel Atkins and a step daughter Laura Mitchell.  Belinda was the dear sister to; Audrey Schmidt, Carol (Paul) Crook, Diane (Fred) Hicks and Ellen (Douglas) Wattay.  Belinda was the cherished grandmother of Emilie Shreves, Maidson Shreves, Kaia Pickett, Ashley Weeks and Lucy Mitchell.  Belinda will be missed by her Boder Collie, Ziggy.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM on Thursday, April 13, 2017, at Donaldson Funeral Home, 313 Talbott Avenue, Laurel, Maryland.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM Friday, April 14, 2017 at Chapel of Donaldson Funeral Home

Interment will be at Ivy Hill Cemetery, Sandy Spring Road Laurel, MD 20707.
