Betty Melba (Marks) Beuchert, 93, of Laurel, Maryland passed away Monday February 11, 2019.

She was born May 11th 1925, in Washington DC, to John L Marks and Hazel M Marks

Betty was a member of St Mary’s of the Mills Catholic Church in Laurel, Maryland

She retired from Murphy’s Five and Dime in Hyattsville, Maryland.

She enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, crossword and jigsaw puzzles and game shows.

She is survived by her children, Barbara Catlin, daughter, James E. Beuchert, son, (Mary, spouse), Mary B Smith, daughter (Thomas Valentine, spouse), daughter Gladys M Hoy, (Robert, “Robbie” spouse) Grandchildren, Robert L Catlin, (Diane spouse), Tammy Shiffert, (Jerry spouse), Robert Hoy Jr.,  Burnice Smith,  Samantha Stewart, (Renard, spouse), Richard Smith, (Alley, spouse), John Beuchert, Michelle Morgan, Kimberly Poston, Jason Beuchert.

Great Grandchildren, Robert M Catlin, Kayla Catlin, Christopher Shiffert, Antonio Gutierrez, Kendall Catlin, Christina Smith, Aiden and Anthony Smith, Brandon Smith, McKenzy Smith, Zachary Shiffert, Alyssa Hoy, Brianna Shiffert, Ethan Stewart, Sophia, Peyton, Abel Smith, Wyatt.

She was preceded in death by her brother Carl A Marks, sister Charlotte A Bate, brother Robert W Marks and sister Sandra M Redwine.

Visitation will be on Thursday February 14th from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Donaldson Funeral Home, 313 Talbott Ave, Laurel, MD 20707

Funeral will be Friday Feb. 15th, at 11:00 AM at the Donaldson Funeral Home Chapel, Laurel, Maryland.

Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimers Association.
