Blanche (Sally) Alberta Sargent

Blanche Alberta Sargent (Sally), age 85, of Laurel, MD passed away on March 4, 2022. She was born on October 4, 1936 to parents: Hugie and Mildred [Souder] Smith.

Blanche worked at East Coast Ice Cream for 38 years until retiring. She was a member of the Hope Church on Stephens Road. As a hobby, she enjoyed dancing, doing cross stitching and camping at Breeze Point Campgrounds.

Blanche is survived by sister, Mary Lou Thomas, Ronnie Smith; daughter, Patricia Cole (Richard); sons: Gary Sargent (Cindy) and Phillip Sargent, Jr (Leling).; 11 grandchilren: Richard Phillips (Laurie), Chris Sargent (Deanna), Gary Sargent (Michelle), Heather Murphy (Colby), Jessica Morgan, Cory Wharton, Lindsey Cole, Joe Bounds (Tabitha), Melissa Harty (Jeremy), Stephanie Morazles (Brian) and Michael Hertz; 30 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.

She is preceded by her husband of 53 years, Phillip Sargent, Sr.,  Larry Smith, Virginia Wisnce and Wilbur Smith.
