Brian Merica

Brian Merica, age 44, passed away suddenly in Columbia, MD on Tuesday, November 23, 2021.

Born on Aug 9, 1977 in Columbia, MD, son of Gary Merica (deceased) and Irene Dentinger (O’Connor), Brian was a lifelong resident of Laurel, MD.

He worked in the IT field, supporting both federal and non-federal agencies for many years, which he loved.  Outside of work, he enjoyed working on computers, spending time with his family and friends, and playing video games.

Brian is also survived by his son, Brian Merica; mother, Irene Dentinger; sister, Shelly Merica McCann (Kevin); nephew, William McCann; and two step-sisters, Heather Dentinger Andersen and Kristen Dentinger Jones.

Brian was preceded in death by his grandparents Floyd and Blanche Weaver Merica and James and Ann Garrick O’Connor.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00am, Thursday, December 9, 2021, St. Mary of the Mills Church, 114 St. Mary’s Place, Laurel, MD 20707. Interment will be held privately at a later date at Woodlawn Memorial Park, 11365 Ocean Gate Way, Easton, MD 21601.
