Brysun was born on March 6, 2006, in the Bronx, New York. He was raised in Westchester, New York with his siblings. Brysun moved with his family to Laurel, Maryland where he attended High School. Brysun was a vibrant teenager who loved the outdoors.
Brysun was the most loving, kind, caring person you could know. He was quiet and reserved in public. At home with his family he was talkative, loving, and full of information and fun facts through things that he had learned and researched. If you truly knew Brysun you know how much he loved skateboarding, cars, video games and animals. Brysun always wanted the best for everyone.
Brysun had Asperger’s Syndrome (Autism) which made life for him challenging at times. However, he never gave up and always tried to overcome his challenges. Brysun was doing very well as he matured into a young man learning how to navigate through life.
Brysun loved being outside in nature, walking or biking. Early morning was his favorite time of day, when it was just him and nature. This brought him much solace and peace. It brought him the most joy. Brysun loved the outdoors and nature, he was not afraid of wild animals and loved to be near animals even in the outdoors. Brysun loved cats and he never gave up trying to get one.
Brysun is survived by his mother, Crystal Miller; father, Derrick Ward; 3 sisters: S. Lyrick Miller, Taleeya Ward and Kaylee Ward; brother, Kareem Pennant; grandfather, Marvin Ward; grandmother Betty Ward; grandmother, Gwenell McGruder; niece, Egypt Miller; uncle, Christopher Mayhew; 5 aunts: Lakicha Hairston, Terri Miller, Veronica McGruder, Monica Miller, and Patricia Hurt; 10 cousins: Devon Miller, Corey Miller, Dajon Miller, Jaden McGruder, Chase Hairston, Tristan Harrison, Alston Hairston, Dayshiya Harris, Dyman Harris and Hunter Vanreil and a host of close family members.
We say farewell to someone who made the world a better place simply by being in it. He taught us about the importance of family, friendship, and community, and he inspired us to be the best versions of ourselves. We will always remember his infectious smile, his infectious laugh, and his infectious spirit.
