Cecelia C. Caudill, of Laurel, Maryland, passed away on July 21, 2026, at 79 years old. She was born on April 4, 1947, in Washington, D.C. to Charles and Madeline Donaldson and was raised in a strong Irish Catholic family. Cecelia graduated from Bladensburg High School, class of 1965, and following her graduation she married and began her family in Landover, Maryland. After several years, she relocated to the Laurel, Maryland area where she settled down in Maryland City in 1980.
Cecelia was known as “grandma” to everyone she met; a title she held with great pride. She found pleasure in gardening, reading books, decorating, making artwork, doing word searches, cooking, and baking. She especially loved doing crafts with her grandchildren.
She was a loving and giving lady with a beautiful soul who believed in family first. Cecelia was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and wife; she always went out of her way to make her loved ones feel thought of on every occasion. She enjoyed singing and dancing while making her beloved family recipes, especially her famous crab cakes. Her passion for antique shopping has been passed on to her children and grandchildren. She was also a member of the ASPCA and St. Nicholas Catholic Church.
Cecelia always liked going to new places and trying new things. She was a sports fan and huge animal lover. Her most enjoyable times were at the beach with her family, having a picnic and getting ice cream.
She is survived by her children; Charlotte Ann Caudill, Bridgette Cathren Caudill, and Denise Ilene Caudill-Davis; grandchildren Kristen Glenn, Robert Hoover, Justen Caudill, Kasey Kulp, and Donovan Kulp, as well as 9 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents and 8 siblings. In addition, she leaves behind many dear friends.
