On December 25, 2011, Charla Jeanne Shumate, of Laurel. She was the daughter of the late Ruth Eleanor (Wills) and David Lyda Linard, Sr.; mother of the late Larry W. Shumate; sister of David L. Linard, II. She worked for many years as a beautician in Laurel, retiring in 1998.
