Charles W. Reeves

Col. Charles W. Reeves (USA,ret.), of Laurel, MD passed away peacefully at his home on Thursday, November 6, 2014. Col. Reeves leaves eight children Susan Lord, D. Courtland, Russell, and Bryan Reeves, Mary Margaret Kucan, Myriam Maas, Helen Taylor, and Charles Reeves II - their spouses and numerous grand and great grandchildren.
Col. Reeves graduated from Virginia Polytechnic Institute (VPI) in 1938. He entered the U.S. Army and retired in 1969. He married his sweetheart, Dora, in 1940. They had been married for 61 years when she passed away in 2001.
After retiring from the Army Col. Reeves spent the next 24 years as a math educator at MacArthur Middle School, Fort George G. Meade, MD. He retired from teaching in 1993.
Interment in Arlington National Cemetery will take place at a later date.
