Charles Denis Shipley, Jr.

Charles "Charlie" Denis Shipley, Jr., age 61, passed away in Cudjoe Key, Florida on December 5, 2023.

Born on December 26, 1961 in Maryland, son of [late] Charles Shipley Sr. and Suzanne Hall. He lived in Margate, Florida and worked at Unifi Trucking as a truck driver; where he received an award for safe driving. He was a member of Calvary Chapel Church.

Charlie enjoyed riding motorcycles, listening to country music, doing yardwork, decorating his yard for the holidays/festivities and traveling; his favorite destination being Orlando, Florida. He was also an Elvis Presley fan -- he even bought the signature white suit and impersonated Elvis Presley for the community outside the gate entrance. Charlie was a very nice, polite and a talker; everybody loved him. He will surely be missed.

He is survived by her wife of 38 years, Katrina Shipley; mother, Suzanne Hall; son, Charles Shipley III (Tammy) and daughter, Crystal Harmon (Bradley); four grandchildren: Dylan, Ethan, Leah Shipley and Nae Nae Queen; sister, Harriet L. Cook and sister-in-law, Desi Lemmons.

Services will be held at 12 noon on Sunday, December 17, 2023 at Donaldson Funeral Home Chapel, 313 Talbott Avenue, Laurel, MD 20707. Internment will follow at King David Cemetery in Falls Church, Virginia.
