Charlotte Elizabeth Herron “Betty” (McIntosh)
On October 23, 2015, Charlotte E. Herron “Betty” of Laurel passed away at the age of 87. Devoted wife of the late Joseph F. Herron; beloved mother of Joseph F. Herron, Jr. “Butch” and his wife, Nancy; proud and loving grandmother of Daniel Herron and Amanda Herron; caring sister of Barbara Snow (Georgia) and her late sister, Carol Hurst and her late bother, Buddy McIntosh. She is also survived by 30 nieces and nephews and 60 plus great nieces and nephews and her feline friend “Cookie” and canine friend “Lucy.”
Betty worked for over 27 years as a salesclerk for Woodward & Lothrop. She was an amazing caregiver and took care of her sister, Carol during her illness prior to her death. Then, she cared for her nephews, Ricky Hurst and Tommy Hurst and her niece, Donna Eaton as they battled muscular dystrophy prior to their deaths. She was an avid Redskins’, Notre Dame, Maryland and Clemson fan and will be sorely missed by family and friends.
A memorial visitation will be held on Thursday October29, 2015 from 4:00 until 7:00 with a service starting at 7:00 in the Donaldson Funeral Home Chapel, 313 Talbott Ave. Laurel, Md.
