In Lieu of Flowers
When I am gone no need to send flowers
just spend time with those you love for a few hours
take time to do something that you love
and go after the dreams you’re dreaming of
help those who aren’t as fortunate as you
and be there to help see them through
instead of flowers, donate to a charity
and always speak from a place of sincerity
take time to look at the sun, the stars, the moon and the sky
take pictures of things that catch your eye
give the gift of time because you never know when time will run out
live a life that holds no fear, worry or doubt
instead of flowers, just hold your love ones tight
and never let any words go unspoken
because those who mean the world to you are your hearts greatest token.
