Colleen Una Colburn

Colleen Una Colburn, , age 79, of Highland, MD, died Sunday, May 18, 2014, at Howard County General Hospital in Columbia, MD. Colleen was born on February 5, 1935 in Wisconsin to the late Adam Lipka and the late Loie (nee Hayes) Lipka. She relocated to Maryland in 1958 and eventually to Highland, MD in 1983

Colleen taught Art at Dunloggin Middle School in Ellicott City, Maryland for 18 years, retiring in1995. She was extremely active at the Mt. Zion United Methodist Church in Highland, especially in the children's ministry. Colleen was very active in a Cancer Support Group and was a Breast Cancer Survivor for 19 years.

She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Arthur Colburn, her three children; Beverly Kramer (and her husband, Rev. Dale Kramer) of Jonestown, PA, David Colburn (and his wife, Dr. Marion Colburn) of Gillette, WY and Yvonne Foreman (and her husband, Timothy Foreman) of Harlingen, TX. Colleen was the sister to; Luther Lipka of Apache Junction, AZ and the Rev. Jerome Lipka of Wilmington, NC

A visitation will be held on Thursday, May 22, 2014 from 7:00 PM until 9:00 PM at the Donaldson Funeral Home, P.A., 313 Talbott Avenue, Laurel, MD 20707 and again on Friday, May 23, 2014 at the Mt. Zion United Methodist Church, 12430 Scaggsville Road (Rt. 216), Highland, MD 20777 beginning at 10:00 AM and continuing until the service begins at 11:00 AM.
