Connie Marie Coffman

Connie was a May flower born with the first rays of warmth on May 28th, 1963, leaving this world on June 8, 2021. Connie lived with a tenacious character, a courageous soul, an infectious laugh, an enduring strength and an uplifting spirit, surrendering only to a force of life that could not be overcome. She came into this world struggling to get her footing and with pure will, she triumphed, running circles around all of us. Connie did not live life afraid of anything.

She found her deepest love as a mother of two wonderful children, and grandmother, whose lives she celebrated with her devoted husband. Connie was a humble person at heart, living in the family home in Fairland, MD. A gregarious person, she loved playing BINGO!, and winning! (which was often). The pastimes of piecing together puzzles could be an obsession, collecting pig figurines, and something was always baking in the kitchen.

Sharing those experiences with those she loved was her greatest joy. We will remember her like the bloom on a new day, living, alive in the beauty of our memories. Our love follows her eternally. Connie’s feet will now carry her to a promised place of peace and love.

Born in Olney, MD on May 28th, 1963, Connie Marie Coffman died peacefully on June 8, 2021 at the Bel Pre Healthcare Center, Silver Spring, MD, at 58 years old.

The daughter of Gorman (Gus) Eugene Edwards (deceased). Survived by Mildred (Millie) Lechlider (mother),  Joseph Coffman (husband), Joel Gregory Weir (son), (wife Kelly Marie Weir), Brooke Coffman (daughter), Reid Avery Weir (grandson-son of JGW). Siblings: Shelia Catherine Weir (daughter, Sherri Nicole Mosley), Gary Eugene Edwards (son, Keith Eugene Edwards), Richard Allen Edwards ( wife, Mercedes Edwards) and Sidney Gerald Edwards (son, Branyon Kyle Edwards), Steve Jaco Garcia.
