Constance Rice

The following obituary was lovingly submitted by the family of Connie Rice

Constance Karen (nee Lishear) Rice, age 75, passed away in Baltimore, MD on Friday, August 13, 2021.

Born in1945 in Scaggsville MD, Connie was the daughter of Vernon and Irene (nee Souder) Lishear.  Connie lived in Laurel MD and worked as a school bus driver for Prince George’s County. Connie proudly drove for PG County Schools for over 35 years

Constance Karen (nee Lishear) Rice is survived by her husband, Albert Junior Rice.  Connie was the beloved mother to Rodney Rice and Rocky (Liz) Rice.  She was the beloved grandmother to Annicka Rice, Rocky Rice, Jr., Jennifer Nunez and Brock Abel.  Great grandmother to Aubrey Greensfelder. Connie is also survived by her siblings; Darlene Dent, Nancy Dunivan and Gregroy Lishear.  Connie was preceded in death by her parents Vernon and Irene Lishear, and her siblings Snooky Lishear, Janet Giddings, Frances Lee, Maryjane Gaylor, Gloria Smith.  She is also survived by her former daughter in law Linda.

Connie’s family remember her as a loving woman who cherished her family, especially her grandchildren.  Connie had a love for all animals, but none more than her beloved bulldog Jade.

A visitiation will be held on Tuesday, August 17, 2021 at the Donaldson Funeral Home, 313 Talbott Avenue, Laurel, MD 20707 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM.  A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, August 18, 2021 in the Chapel of the Donaldson Funeral Home beginning at 11:00 AM.  Interment will follow at the Emmanuel United Methodist Church Cemetery in Scaggsville, MD.
