Daniel F. Slater
June 20, 1942 — September 15, 2017
Danny was born on June 20, 1942 in Laurel, MD to Herman and Edith Slater. He was a lifelong resident of Savage and a member of the First Baptist Church of Savage.
Danny loved the Lord and loved spending time with his family. His pastimes included family vacations (especially cruises), watching NASCAR races, watching the Baltimore Orioles and the Ravens play. He also enjoyed the mountains, motorcycles, and buying cars.
Danny is survived by his beloved wife of 54 years, Liz. He is also survived by his Daughters, Bonnie Grooms (Brian) of Savage, MD and Donna Porasky (Joseph) of Glenwood, MD, his Son, Michael Slater of Columbia, Granddaughters, Brandy, Brooke, and Blair, and Great Grandchildren, Carson, Emily, and Kensley.
In lieu of flowers, donations are welcome to Gilchrist Hospice Services.
